Interesting- yesterday when I was driving home from work I took a side street of Broad St. because I had an irrational suspicion that someone was following me. When I ended up on Elmwood Ave. I planned on just cutting through the Shell station, like I usually do when I cut over to Elmwood, but then right before the station, some urban forestry (?) opened up and there was a road that cut right to Brigham St.! Even though I’ve lived in this city for 3 years, there are still streets that unveil themselves, or maybe my eyes are opening.
I just read an article “Reading the City,” which I really enjoyed. This article points out how the city reflects the people who live in it.
